Shrine to the Soap Hunks

In order for a soap hunk to be fair game for the Adonis 2008 contest, he must appear on a U.S. soap during the contest period (May 14-September 5, 2008), including actors who have announced plans to start during the contest semifinal period and with no announced plans (by May 7, 2008) to vacate his role before the end of the contest. Competitors may be either on contract or steadily recurring. Due to the nature of this contest, plans such as these announced after the contest begins will have no effect.
 

I have whittled the list of contenders down to 32, using hunks from each soap and trying to spread the wealth around and be fair and honest while still appealing to the overall wishes of site visitors. These 32 guys will be randomly separated into four groups of eight in a drawing witnessed by the public in this site's video chat room on May 7, 2008.

2008 VOTING RULES: Voting is a bit different this year. Rather than cast a ballot for one or more contenders, you will be asked to rank all contestants in a given week from favorite to least favorite, with '1' being your favorite and lesser favorites increasing sequentially (2, 3, 4, etc.). Each valid submission will carry the weight of 1,000 votes, just as in Adonis 2007. Only one submission will be accepted per human being per week. You may NOT vote multiple times from all of your different e-mail addresses, nor may you jump from computer to computer. You will have to attest to this before submitting any ballots, and any evidence of foul play will invalidate ALL of your attempted ballots. You must rank all contenders in order to cast your vote; this measure is being implemented to ensure voters are casting opinions on all contestants and surveying the entire field. During the finals (Weeks 6-16), the contestant with the worst average in the cumulative voters' ranked favorites will be eliminated.

For the first five weeks of the contest, you will vote for which hunks will be competing in the finals. In four semifinal rounds, the two most popular hunks (those with the two best average rankings) from each field of eight will advance. In the fifth week's Wild Card round, eight also-rans will get one more chance to be the final competitor voted in by the public. Three more wild cards will be hand-selected by three esteemed judges, each returning from Adonis 2007: one by my pal superherofan (whose caps can be seen throughout soaphunks.net and on his own site at superherofan.net); one by four-time judge DaveId (founder of the Dreamcaps male flesh emporium); and finally one more picked by yours truly. Then it will be time for the real contest to begin!

Each week at soaphunks.net, I will reveal the results of the previous week's voting LIVE in the soaphunks.net video chat room and launch the next week's round, until we end up with our winner, the Adonis 2008!
