Shrine to the Soap Hunks

In order for a soap hunk to be fair game for the Adonis 2011 contest, he must appear on a U.S. soap during the contest period (May 19-August 17, 2011), including actors who have announced plans to start during the contest semifinal period and with no announced plans (by May 1, 2011) to vacate his role before the end of the contest. Competitors may be either on contract or steadily recurring. Due to the nature of this contest, plans such as these announced after the contest begins will have no effect.
 

2011 VOTING RULES

THE SEMIFINALS: You may vote once per day per person per IP address. Virtually every actor on each current U.S. daytime soap is featured on the ballot during the contest's sole semifinal week. Voters will be asked to select their favorite hunk from each of the six soaps during this first week. The highest vote-getter from each soap will receive a spot in the finals.
 

WILD CARD WEEK: High-performing hunks who did not make it through during the semifinal week will return for Wild Card Week. The public's three top vote-getters from DIFFERENT SOAPS will also earn finalist spots. The final three spots will be hand-picked from the remaining wild card contestants by the editors of soaphunks.net. After those selections are announced, we'll have our 12 finalists, and then it will be time for the real contest to begin!
 

THE FINALS: You may vote once per day per person per IP address. This year, you will be allowed to cast a vote FOR a contestant and AGAINST a contestant. Each valid "FOR" vote will carry the weight of 10 votes. Each valid "AGAINST" vote will carry the weight of -2 votes.

During the finals, the contestant with the lowest overall number of votes will be eliminated. However, the other finalists in the "Bottom Three" group who are NOT eliminated will be given IMMUNITY from elimination the following week. This rule will continue up to and including Week 7 (the last week a full "Bottom Three" is announced), but will be suspended beginning with Week 8.

Please do NOT vote multiple times from all of your different e-mail addresses, nor may you jump from computer to computer. You will have to attest to this before submitting any ballots, and any evidence of foul play will invalidate ALL of your attempted ballots.

As always, each week I will reveal the results of the previous week's voting LIVE in the soaphunks.net video chat room and launch the next week's round, until we end up with our winner, the Adonis 2011!
